Role Overview
This position is for an experienced backend developer who can work across Python and Java to build enterprise applications and services. The role involves working on scalable solutions, database queries, APIs, and ongoing support for production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support large-scale enterprise applications using Python and Java.
- Create dependable backend components, REST APIs, and enterprise software solutions.
- Draft, tune, and troubleshoot advanced SQL queries for relational databases.
- Work with RDBMS platforms such as MS SQL Server, Sybase, or comparable systems.
- Study business needs and convert them into practical technical designs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across the full software development lifecycle.
- Produce clean, reusable code that aligns with standards and development best practices.
- Take part in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Investigate production problems and deliver prompt fixes.
- Keep up with new technologies and support continuous improvement efforts.
Candidate Profile
- 8 to 12 years of experience in enterprise application development.
- Hands-on expertise in both Python and Java is required.
- Strong command of Core Java, Python programming, and backend engineering.
- Solid SQL knowledge with practical exposure to MS SQL Server, Sybase, or another RDBMS.
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience building scalable, high-performance enterprise systems.
- Strong analytical thinking, debugging ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently as well as in collaborative Agile teams.
- Experience with GenAI or LLM tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude is a plus.
- Exposure to metadata management or data lineage tools is preferred.
