Role Overview
Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to join its South West Regional Office in Geelong. In this role, you will work alongside care advisors, referral agencies, and service providers to organise rostering and support for Home Care Workers so that the right person is matched to the right client at the right time.
Work Schedule and Pay
This is a full-time position with working hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The pay rate is $39 per hour.
About Mercy Health
Mercy Health Home Care Services delivers community aged care and disability support that helps people remain healthy, independent, and comfortable at home. The organisation has been serving communities for more than a century and is guided by a strong mission, stable workforce, and values-based approach. As a not-for-profit healthcare provider with over 10,000 dedicated people, Mercy Health offers opportunities to contribute meaningfully while building valuable experience. The wider organisation is grounded in a long-standing tradition of care and is recognised for its commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and community wellbeing.
Key Duties
- Coordinate scheduling and rostering for a team of Home Care Workers.
- Work closely with care advisors, service providers, and referral partners to manage service delivery.
- Match the appropriate employee to the correct client service at the required time.
- Support changing client needs while maintaining high service standards.
What We’re Looking For
You should be someone who enjoys helping people in the local community, communicates clearly, and delivers excellent customer service. The role suits a person who can work in a setting where client needs change regularly and must be prioritised. Experience with rostering systems is helpful, and a Certificate III in Individual Support or an equivalent qualification would be an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
Documents and Contact
Applicants should submit a resume, a cover letter, and copies of all relevant qualifications. For further information, contact Tobias Duff at DuffT@mercy.com.au or 03 5240 7300.

The organisation welcomes applications from people of all ages, abilities, cultural backgrounds, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, and LGBTIQ+ staff and allies. It is committed to child safety, zero tolerance for abuse and neglect, and action on climate change and sustainability.
Checks and Requirements
Applicants must meet the position and qualification requirements. A current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance are required, and Mercy Health may also complete additional background checks where allowed by law. Employment is subject to satisfactory background screening, which may include a Police Record Check. Candidates must also provide proof of vaccination status in line with public health orders and Mercy Health policy, including seasonal influenza vaccination compliance where required.
