Role overview

B&Q Ireland is hiring a full-time Shift Lead for its Swords, County Dublin store. This is a permanent position working 36.75 hours per week. The role includes keyholder responsibilities, with shifts starting as early as 6:00am and finishing as late as 10:00pm. The full-time equivalent pay is £27,709.50 per year, along with pension benefits and 6.6 weeks of holiday.

In this position, you will help ensure the store is a safe, well-run, and welcoming place for both customers and colleagues. You will take ownership of the shift, keep operations moving smoothly, and support a positive day-to-day experience in the store.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the main driver of the store’s daily activity and keep operations on track throughout your shift.
  • Allocate colleagues effectively so the store is set up to serve customers well at all times.
  • Serve as a primary contact for both customers and store colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe environment across the store at all times.
