About the role
Brian Perry Civil is seeking a Site Engineer to support precast yard operations in Wellington. This is a practical, site-based engineering position where you will work closely with supervisors and crews to keep day-to-day production moving smoothly. The role involves helping plan work, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the safe and efficient delivery of precast elements.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily and short-range production planning across the yard.
- Coordinate with crews to organise tasks, work sequencing, and overall workflow.
- Verify work against drawings, specifications, and required quality standards.
- Help arrange materials, plant, and subcontractors for assigned activities.
- Monitor progress, productivity, and basic cost-related information.
- Support health and safety, environmental, and quality procedures on site.
What you should bring
- A qualification in civil engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Up to 3 years of experience in construction or a similar setting.
- Working knowledge of construction methods and site-based operations.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine willingness to develop further.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
- An organised approach to handling tasks and priorities.
