Site Engineer - Interiors

Job Overview

We are seeking a Site Engineer specialized in interior fit-out projects to oversee daily construction activities at project locations in Bengaluru. The role involves ensuring that execution aligns with approved designs, specifications, and quality benchmarks while managing coordination among various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily interior fit-out operations at project sites.
• Ensure compliance with approved architectural and design drawings, specifications, and quality norms.
• Engage and coordinate efficiently with architects, consultants, project managers, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain smooth progress.
• Track project timelines and ensure that milestones are met as per schedule.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports providing updates on work status.
• Confirm site measurements and contribute to quantity estimations for project resources.
• Manage material requirements, ensuring their timely delivery and availability on site.
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain proper site housekeeping.
• Monitor labor productivity and address day-to-day operational challenges.
• Assist during client inspections, manage snag identification and rectification, and facilitate project handover procedures.
• Support the preparation of running bills, measurement sheets, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Participate in site meetings and document discussions along with action points.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Basic understanding of commercial interior execution processes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior design, and MEP drawings.
• Familiarity with gypsum partitions, false ceilings, flooring, painting, carpentry, glazing, and finishing tasks.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with team members and external parties.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and a preference for AutoCAD usage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn continuously.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Architecture is essential.
• Experience ranging from freshers to 2 years in commercial interior fit-out projects is acceptable; candidates with sound technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites within Bengaluru as required.
• Possession of a valid driving license and ownership of a two-wheeler is preferred.
