Site Reliability Engineer

About the Client

An emerging top internet company is establishing its Singapore presence from scratch to support its global expansion efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement multi-region infrastructure to support worldwide services.
• Lead initiatives ensuring high availability, disaster recovery procedures, and failover mechanisms.
• Manage observability frameworks, handle incident responses, and enhance overall system reliability.
• Deploy and scale key infrastructure components, including monitoring tools, CI/CD pipelines, and traffic routing systems.
• Collaborate closely with international teams to facilitate overseas business development.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive background in site reliability engineering, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience with distributed systems, managing high availability, and incident handling.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure platforms, and observability toolsets.
• Programming skills in at least one of these languages: Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience working with multi-region or global systems is highly desirable.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with multiple cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of global traffic routing technologies, including DNS, GSLB, and load balancing.
• Exposure to chaos engineering and resilience testing methodologies.
