Role Overview
The SOA Checker - NVOCC will be a vital member of the Accounts & Finance department within the shipping and logistics sector. Positioned in Dubai, UAE, this role demands a seasoned professional with 3-5 years of experience specializing in NVOCC or liner accounts. The primary responsibility is to validate, reconcile and manage Statements of Accounts (SOA) from NVOCC principals, agents, and liner partners to secure precise revenue tracking and eliminate revenue leakage.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately review SOAs received monthly or quarterly from NVOCC principals and foreign agents.
- Cross-verify freight revenues, THC, local charges, BAF, CAF, demurrage & detention, and other billable items against booking data and invoices.
- Confirm Bill of Lading details, container numbers, applied rates, and shipment weights correlate with internal system records.
- Conduct thorough investigations into any inconsistencies like tariff variances, partial shipment issues, cancellations, or missing documentation.
- Generate detailed variance reports and initiate debit or credit notes with the respective agents as necessary.
- Coordinate proactively with Operations, Sales teams, and agents to collect requisite supporting paperwork and clarify disputed issues.
Experience and Qualifications
Proven industry experience of 3-5 years specifically in shipping NVOCC or liner account management is essential.
