The editor will contribute to campaigns that are both organic and paid, focusing on employer branding clients.
While video editing is the core responsibility, the role also involves participating in creative brainstorming sessions to develop compelling social-first content. Motion design is advantageous, and there may be occasional opportunities to assist with filming on-site using smartphones or DSLRs, though camera operation is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble social media short-form videos appropriate for various platform specifications, including both paid and organic content.
- Create engaging stories from interviews, event footage, behind-the-scenes clips, and other narrative material.
- Incorporate music, sound effects, and text overlays to enhance viewer engagement.
- Test and apply new editing styles, formats, and trends to maintain freshness and authenticity in client content.
- Support occasional on-site shooting activities using iPhones or DSLR cameras.
- Perform color grading and audio mixing to ensure professional and polished final products.
- Organize and deliver content assets prepared for internal and client review processes.
- Constantly monitor emerging social media trends to inform creative tactics and maintain competitive advantage.
- Stay alert to cultural, competitor, and employer brand trends to proactively generate innovative content ideas.
- Seek continuous improvement and innovation opportunities through content creation.
Candidate Profile
- 2 to 3 years of experience editing social-first video content within a creative agency, brand, or as a freelancer.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro; skills in After Effects are considered a plus.
- Creative thinker with the ability to contribute to concept generation and social content strategies.
- In-depth understanding of social media platforms, their formats, and current trends.
- Keen attention to detail, especially around storytelling, pacing, and brand consistency.
- Versatile content creator comfortable filming with iPhones and DSLRs alike.
- Knowledgeable about different file types, color grading, and working with log/raw footage.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects and stakeholders.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Be part of a high-performing culture collaborating with notable clients such as King, Kraft Heinz, Comcast, and KFC.
- Participate in regular social events and gatherings, ranging from formal dinners to casual sports activities.
- Enjoy complimentary breakfast in our award-winning office located in Farringdon, Central London.
- Supportive happiness team and culture council focused on employee wellbeing and engagement.
- Access to a full range of Apple technology and an in-house Apple Genius for technical support.
- A collaborative office atmosphere designed to encourage personal growth and skill development.
- Wellness resources, including performance coaching, therapy budgets, and Vitality health insurance.
Recruitment Process
- Submit application.
- Introductory call with Talent team.
- Video interview with hiring manager.
- Office tour and completion of a task.
- Final interview with COO.
