Role Overview

The Social Worker position at Shradha Foundation is a full-time remote role dedicated to assisting individuals and communities affiliated with the foundation’s projects. Key day-to-day activities include evaluating client needs, providing support and referrals to relevant services, and partnering with external organizations to tackle social, economic, and emotional issues. Responsibilities also involve detailed case documentation, monitoring outcomes, and creating brief reports to enhance program effectiveness. The role requires devising outreach plans, hosting online support groups or workshops, and collaborating internally to embed social impact considerations within financial investment activities. Consistent digital communication, confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism are essential.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in counseling, case management, and psychosocial assessments for individuals and families with varied backgrounds.
• Experience in community engagement, stakeholder coordination, and collaboration with NGOs, governmental bodies, or social services.
• Strong verbal communication, active listening, and conflict resolution skills, including the capacity to conduct remote sessions through phone or video platforms.
• Competency in accurate record-keeping, report writing, and use of digital office tools for data management.
• Familiarity with social welfare systems, financial literacy, and resources aiding clients to overcome socio-economic hurdles.
• Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a similar discipline.
• Previous work experience in social work, community development, counseling, or related areas, particularly with vulnerable or marginalized communities.
• Demonstrated cultural awareness, ethical conduct, and dedication to providing inclusive and non-discriminatory support.
• Ability to work autonomously in remote settings, efficiently handle caseloads, and cooperate with multidisciplinary teams as required.
