Meraki Dashboard teams are compact and agile, aiming to deliver products that balance powerful features with simplicity. Engineers on these teams work across the entire technology stack and leverage a broad range of computer science concepts, embracing multiple languages and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement user-friendly, effective workflows that address critical challenges for IT professionals globally by collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and UX designers.
- Tackle difficult scaling challenges to accommodate growth while ensuring excellent uptime and user experience.
- Create tools that enable customers to configure and monitor networking devices worldwide.
- Drive innovation in the networking and security industry by simplifying processes and enhancing performance and flexibility.
- Contribute to architectural design decisions and promote best engineering practices among peers.
- Serve as a motivational connector, inspiring colleagues to perform at their highest capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience writing production-level code and tests.
- Over 2 years experience programming professionally in Ruby-on-Rails or Python.
- At least 1 year experience creating complex web user interfaces using React (including Redux) and JavaScript.
- Comfortable contributing on small engineering teams and solving broad, open-ended technical problems across the technology stack.
- Demonstrate passion for software development and the ability to enthusiastically motivate those around you.
Preferred Experience
- Experience or openness to working on experimental proof-of-concept projects and familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Knowledge of network protocols used in both local and wide area networks.
