Role Overview
As a Software Engineer in Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable platform services and applications that empower delivery teams organization-wide. The role demands hands-on software development focusing on creating high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions while contributing reusable components, automation, developer productivity tools, and enforcing engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications, platform services, and APIs.
- Translate technical and functional requirements into clean, production-ready code.
- Create reusable libraries, frameworks, services, templates, and developer tools.
- Develop integrations, APIs, and event-driven systems using modern architecture patterns.
- Apply sound system design principles focusing on modularity, scalability, resilience, performance, and security.
- Contribute to cloud-native and microservice architecture solutions.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment workflows, and build developer productivity tools.
- Implement observability practices including monitoring, logging, and reliability enhancements.
- Troubleshoot production issues to improve operational stability and system reliability.
- Participate in rigorous code reviews promoting quality, security, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with architects, senior developers, and platform engineers on technical design and decision making.
- Support internal developer platform functionalities and self-service initiatives.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to boost engineering efficiency.
- Prototype innovative platform capabilities, reusable components, and proof-of-concept solutions.
- Contribute to documentation, best practices guides, and knowledge sharing within the team.
About the Platform Engineering Team
This team manages governance, architecture, standards, and enablement of enterprise platforms and shared technology services that ensure consistency, security, and scalability across development teams.
Candidate Profile and Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of software development experience.
- Proficient full-stack developer with expertise across frontend, backend, APIs, and data management layers.
- Strong programming skills in .NET, NodeJS, and TypeScript.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Proven ability to deliver production-grade applications and services.
- Deep understanding of system design and concepts related to distributed applications.
- Practical experience with REST APIs, asynchronous integrations, and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with software architecture and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- Experience working with or building microservices.
- Comfortable with Git version control and modern workflow practices.
- Exposure to CI/CD methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools and principles.
- Understanding of monitoring, observability, and logging frameworks.
- Applied secure software development practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
- Experience utilizing AI or generative AI tools to accelerate software development.

Total Rewards and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range between $69,000 and $114,000 annually, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
