Job Overview
As a Software Intern at GE Precision Healthcare LLC, you will actively contribute to developing and enhancing advanced healthcare software solutions. This role offers immersive hands-on experience within a dynamic, innovative setting, working closely with seasoned engineers on real-world medical technology problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support designing, developing, and testing software components for healthcare applications.
- Engage in code reviews to enhance code quality and maintainability.
- Identify and resolve software defects through effective debugging techniques.
- Create documentation for software designs, specifications, and testing procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams such as product management and quality assurance to ensure successful project execution.
- Investigate and assess emerging technologies and tools to optimize development workflows.
- Participate fully in the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Solid grasp of core programming principles and data structure concepts.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language such as C++, Java, Python, or C#.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile) and tools (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
