Steward

Position Summary

In this role, you will report to the Sous Chef(s) and Chef de Cuisine and help keep the kitchen spotless and organized. The main focus is maintaining cleanliness across all kitchen spaces, including dishwashing areas, prep zones, cooking areas, and storage rooms. The role also requires alignment with the organization’s service culture and its commitment to creating memorable entertainment experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, dishware, and equipment.
• Operate dishwashing machines and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Complete assigned tasks quickly, accurately, and in line with all procedures, rules, and health, safety, and food standards.
• Deliver a consistently high level of service to both internal and external guests.
• Contribute to a positive, energetic workplace culture.
• Stay focused and attentive while working in a fast-moving environment.
• Help create standout entertainment experiences for guests.

Education And Qualifications

• Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg is required.
• Must be energetic and comfortable working quickly under pressure in a busy environment.
• WHMIS knowledge would be an advantage.
• Prior experience in stewarding is an asset.
• Strong ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work different shifts is required.
• Friendly, detail-oriented, outgoing, and fun personality is preferred.

Work Environment

This position is based in a standard casino and cage setting. It involves standing or sitting for long periods and working non-traditional hours.
