Role overview

As a Stock Assistant, you will keep merchandise replenished, maintain orderly shelves, and help ensure the sales floor remains welcoming, safe, and efficient for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

  • Replenish shelves with merchandise and keep the sales floor organized and presentable.
  • Carry out standard service and operational tasks, including handling routine process steps and making basic decisions within set guidelines.
  • Assist teammates with everyday stock and inventory activities by following established procedures.
  • Guide and coach colleagues on non-routine transactional tasks, shelf stocking, inventory replenishment, and effective product presentation.
  • Handle customer service work, including more complex or unusual questions and cases.
  • Help plan work schedules, coordinate with support teams, and allocate short-term tasks so deadlines are met.
  • Complete operational duties in line with company processes and make adjustments to settings or parameters where required to meet performance expectations.
  • Follow all required work methods and safety rules, including the use of personal protective equipment, to protect people and the workplace.
  • Manage priorities to meet quality and timeliness targets while using performance tools to improve individual output.

Education and experience

This role requires post-secondary non-tertiary education, along with practical experience and a solid understanding of routine procedures or systems. Limited managerial experience is expected.
