Role overview
We are seeking a food and beverage processing supervisor in Richmond, British Columbia. This is an on-site position, so the work must be carried out at the physical workplace with no remote option.
Role requirements
The position requires English proficiency and a secondary school graduation certificate. Candidates should have 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Key duties
- Reduce hazards throughout every stage of the food production workflow.
- Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, safety practices, and company policies.
- Suggest staffing decisions such as hiring and promotions.
- Compile production and related reports.
- Identify ways to boost productivity and improve product quality.
- Oversee, coordinate, and schedule employee activities, and review work when needed.
- Set work methods and coordinate operations with other teams or departments to meet schedules.
- Request or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Supervision
This role oversees process control and machine operators in food and beverage processing, with responsibility for a team size of 50 to 100 employees.
Credentials and certifications
An Occupational Health and Safety Certificate is required.
Experience and specialization
Prior experience in quality assurance or quality control is expected. Knowledge of Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is also required.
Work environment and conditions
The workplace is noisy. The role involves a fast-moving setting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure.
