Position Overview
Tito's Handmade Vodka is looking for a Supplier Quality Coordinator to lead, manage, and support packaging-related projects within its bottling operations. This role demands strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative engagement with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain consistent product excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor packaging trials on bottling lines ensuring efficiency and quality standards.
- Comprehend packaging and technical specifications for all incoming raw materials.
- Identify supplier details including name, location, and manufactured products for each material.
- Develop a foundational understanding of bottle equipment performance related to packaging materials.
- Coordinate and schedule material deliveries to align with project timelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Production departments for project execution.
- Act as the primary liaison for Purchasing on quality issues impacting bottling line operations.
- Attend project meetings to provide updates on trial progression and material statuses.
- Understand and monitor root cause analyses and corrective actions associated with packaging suppliers.
- Maintain comprehensive records, logs, and documentation related to quality and projects.
- Compile and prepare various reports and communications regularly.
- Facilitate on-site supplier visits in coordination with Quality and Procurement teams.
- Foster positive and productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a mediator between suppliers and finance for handling non-conforming materials.
- Identify and recommend improvements to material qualification processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Support quality improvement initiatives aimed at defect reduction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement, Engineering, Packaging Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, project management, material handling, and/or quality assurance.
- Experience in Purchasing and supplier relations is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
- Self-motivated with strong critical thinking skills, able to communicate effectively across various departments.
- Ability to analyze multiple information sources to solve problems and exercise sound judgment.
- Capable of conveying complex or sensitive information clearly and mentoring others.
