About the Role
At LION, our well-known brands reach customers thanks to the essential work of our supply chain team. We are seeking an experienced Supply Planner for a fixed term contract position through September 2027 in Auckland. This dynamic role entails overseeing stock movement across our distribution network ensuring the right products are delivered at the right times, balancing service levels with freight costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory throughout the distribution network to maintain excellent service outcomes
- Optimize freight operations while adhering to budget constraints
- Collaborate closely with transport partners, third-party logistics providers, and internal teams to address supply chain challenges
- Track stock availability and communicate any risks to the broader business
- Assist in managing offsite warehouse space during peak demand periods
- Leverage data and insights to inform practical and commercially sound planning decisions
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates with prior experience as a Supply Planner, ideally within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. Successful applicants will have:
- Hands-on experience with SAP systems
- Strong Excel skills and comfort analyzing large datasets
- Exceptional ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships
- Confidence to challenge, influence decisions, and see initiatives through
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong commercial awareness
- Ability to work independently and make confident decisions
