Job description

Role Overview

The Talent Acquisition Associate will work closely with teams across the business to deliver full-cycle hiring support and secure strong talent that matches organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit the required critical skill sets for the business within agreed service timelines and in line with approved workforce plans.
  • Serve as a trusted talent partner, advising business leaders using market intelligence, external hiring trends, and recruitment expertise.
  • Hold intake discussions with hiring managers to clarify the ideal candidate profile and shape a sourcing approach for each vacancy.
  • Build and maintain a healthy candidate pipeline, nurture long-term relationships with prospects, and actively promote the role, company mission, and brand.
  • Own and coordinate recruitment-focused projects, including employer branding activities such as career fairs, talent forums, and similar outreach events that improve brand visibility and broaden candidate reach.
  • Make sure the employer brand is consistently reflected across all hiring touchpoints, including interactions with candidates and external vendors.
  • Support and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in collaboration with leaders and colleagues.
  • Improve the candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment journey, before interviews, during interviews, and after interviews.
  • Regularly review internal talent pools to identify ready-now employees for open roles before sourcing externally.
  • Take full responsibility for the recruitment system, ensuring accurate data entry, proper data management, and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with external partners such as recruitment agencies, educational institutions, background verification providers, and similar vendors.
  • Prepare reports and statistics as needed, including weekly updates on hiring activity, talent identified and placed, challenges encountered, monthly workforce-plan tracking, and other performance indicators.
  • Carry out any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • You should bring 5–6 years of experience in talent acquisition.
  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is needed.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for influencing senior stakeholders, aligning hiring strategies, and demonstrating authority on market data and recruitment best practices.
  • Experience coaching employees and line managers on selection methods, interviewing, and recruitment practices is expected.
  • Prior experience improving processes and ways of working to enhance employee experience is important.
  • You should have an agile, innovative, practical, commercially aware, and customer-oriented approach.
  • Working knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations, including data protection and labour legislation, is required.

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Tatu City, Kiambu, Kenya.
