About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated HR Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Chicago. This high-impact role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals early in their HR careers to gain comprehensive exposure across various HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations. The HR Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting company-wide onboarding sessions, managing the onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensuring the accuracy of employee data within HR systems. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for employee questions related to benefits and HR policies, helping to foster a positive and compliant work environment. The role requires a proactive, organized, and adaptable professional capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. You will collaborate closely with HR team members and other departments to ensure seamless HR operations and contribute to the organization’s ongoing success and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate company-wide new hire onboarding sessions to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes from initiation to completion, ensuring all steps are executed efficiently and accurately.
  • Support benefits administration by responding to employee inquiries and assisting with benefits enrollment and updates.
  • Maintain and update HRIS systems, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data.
  • Assist in driving compliance across HR processes and policies, supporting audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with management and employees on employee relations matters, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Coordinate and support various HR initiatives, projects, and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in an HR coordinator or similar role, demonstrating a solid understanding of onboarding, benefits administration, and employee engagement. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to confidently present to groups and effectively communicate across teams. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high-volume workloads, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and adaptability. Experience managing large onboarding groups and a confident presence when leading sessions will set candidates apart. A genuine interest in growing within the HR field and a willingness to develop specialized expertise are highly valued. Familiarity with HRIS systems and a keen eye for maintaining accurate employee data are also important qualifications.
