Role overview

This opening is for a remote Technical Support Specialist who will assist users with everyday technical problems, deliver clear guidance, and help create a smooth and positive support experience. Key responsibilities

  • Handle incoming support inquiries through email, chat, and phone.
  • Investigate and fix routine hardware and software problems.
  • Help users with account access, sign-in difficulties, and password-related requests.
  • Explain solutions in a simple, organized, step-by-step manner.
  • Record support actions, resolutions, and user interactions with accuracy.
  • Pass more complicated issues to the appropriate specialist team when needed.
  • Keep thorough documentation to contribute to ongoing service improvements.
  • Provide courteous, helpful, and customer-centered technical assistance.

Required qualifications

Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in technical support, IT support, or a help desk environment. Strong communication and troubleshooting ability are important, along with practical familiarity with Windows, macOS, and common software tools. The role also requires the ability to diagnose and resolve issues remotely, plus a dependable internet connection. A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.

Preferred experience

It is helpful to have worked with ticketing platforms such as Zendesk or Jira, supported Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, completed remote work before, or brought basic networking knowledge to the role.

Compensation and benefits

The pay range is $30 to $38 per hour, with estimated annual earnings of $62,000 to $79,000 plus performance-based incentives.
