Job Description

Over a two-year trainee program, you will be immersed directly into the controlling team, gaining comprehensive insight into the business management of an internationally operating machine manufacturing company. Your contributions will include a variety of responsibilities in controlling functions.

Key Duties

  • Participating in production controlling with focus on productivity, capacity utilization, quality and goodwill cost analysis
  • Assisting in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, as well as annual planning and rolling forecasts
  • Supporting cost accounting and in preparing and reviewing product, customer, and project cost calculations
  • Helping with variance analyses, profitability studies, and reporting of key business metrics
  • Assisting investment decision assessments and business case calculations
  • Contributing to the advancement of reporting, analytics, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI
  • Supporting cross-departmental digitalization and optimization initiatives
  • Collaborating closely with departments including production, procurement, sales, development, and financial accounting, gradually taking on individual projects and responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed studies in business administration, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field focusing on controlling, finance, or accounting
  • Initial practical experience in controlling, finance, or analytical roles gained through internships, student jobs, or thesis work
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with SAP and/or business intelligence software is advantageous
  • Strong numerical aptitude paired with analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Interest in business processes and production operations within an industrial context
  • Independent, structured, and solution-focused working approach
  • Excellent communication, proactive mindset, and eagerness to learn
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written
