Role Overview

This position is for a Translator / Interpreter / Localization Specialist who can deliver dependable language services and help ensure smooth communication across languages, regions, and audiences. The role suits language professionals with a strong interest in translation, interpretation, localization, cultural adaptation, and multilingual communication.

Translation Responsibilities

  • Convert a wide range of materials such as documents, reports, websites, marketing assets, technical content, and business correspondence into the required language.
  • Preserve the meaning, tone, and purpose of the original text in every translation.
  • Check, revise, and proofread translated content to maintain linguistic quality and consistency.
  • Keep terminology lists and translation glossaries up to date.
  • Follow client expectations, industry practices, and localization standards.

Interpretation Responsibilities

  • Deliver consecutive, simultaneous, or liaison interpretation for meetings, conferences, training programs, and events.
  • Support clear communication between stakeholders speaking different languages.
  • Prepare terminology notes and briefing documents before interpretation assignments.
  • Maintain neutrality, discretion, and professionalism while interpreting.
  • Assist with both online and on-site interpretation needs.

Localization and Cultural Adaptation

  • Adjust content so it fits the intended market, region, and cultural setting.
  • Localize websites, software, applications, digital interfaces, and multimedia content.
  • Ensure adapted content matches cultural expectations, language preferences, and applicable regulations.
  • Work closely with content, product, and marketing teams.
  • Carry out localization testing and quality review checks.

Project Coordination and Quality Control

  • Handle translation and localization tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Coordinate with linguists, editors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Carry out quality assurance reviews and linguistic validation.
  • Monitor project status and maintain proper documentation.
  • Help improve workflows and language resource development.

Eligibility

Applicants should have a background in translation, interpreting, languages, linguistics, communications, international studies, or a similar area. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for entry-level opportunities. The role also requires 1 to 8 years of experience in translation, interpretation, localization, or multilingual communication. Candidates must have native or near-native ability in at least one target language and strong command of the source language.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong linguistic precision.
  • Practical understanding of localization workflows and multilingual content adaptation.
  • Familiarity with translation and localization tools or platforms.
