Job Overview
We are inviting applications for an experienced Turner to operate manual and semi-automatic lathe machines at our facility in Thirumudivakkam, Chennai. This role involves various machining operations, ensuring quality, and maintenance of the equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform turning, facing, threading, and grooving using manual and semi-automatic lathe machines.
- Interpret and understand technical drawings and job specifications accurately.
- Conduct precise measurements of finished parts with tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintain cleanliness of machinery and carry out routine preventive upkeep to ensure smooth operation.
- Deliver consistent production quality while meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with supervisors regarding job priorities and materials handling.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possess 1 to 3 years of practical experience operating manual or semi-automatic lathe machines.
- Skilled in reading mechanical blueprints and proficient with precision measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and proper machine handling techniques.
- Applicants residing in or near Chennai Pammal, Kundrathur, or Pallavaram are preferred.
- Age range between 20 and 45 years.
Location
The work site is located in Thirumudivakkam, Chennai, in proximity to Pammal, Anakaputhur, and Kundrathur.
Compensation
