This full-time onsite position is based in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, within a high-volume healthcare logistics environment. The role focuses on coordinating supply chain and distribution activity, overseeing staff, and helping maintain smooth warehouse and dispatch operations.
About the organization
You will be joining a Fortune Global 500 business through MNX, a UPS company, which specializes in time-critical and mission-critical logistics and supply chain services. The work supports highly sensitive shipments such as medical devices, cancer therapies, aircraft engines, encrypted media, network equipment, and transplant organs.
What you will do
As Warehouse Manager, you will lead day-to-day distribution and warehouse functions while helping improve efficiency, reliability, and compliance across the operation. The position covers warehousing, transport coordination, inventory control, purchasing support, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily warehouse and dispatch activity across supply chain and distribution workflows.
- Build, apply, and monitor policies, plans, and strategies for purchasing, storage, and distribution.
- Maintain stock at levels that meet demand without creating unnecessary cost.
- Handle outbound dispatch planning, sequencing, and delivery timing to support on-time performance.
- Track inventory and stock allocation to protect supply continuity and operational effectiveness.
- Review storage and inventory processes and recommend improvements for tighter stock control.
- Work with suppliers on contract terms to secure quality, value, and dependable delivery.
- Serve as a coordination point between warehouse teams, transport partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Allocate transport and labour resources in a way that improves operational output.
- Monitor key performance measures such as delivery results, stock accuracy, and freight performance.
- Keep dispatch, inventory movement, and transaction records accurate for compliance and traceability.
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse and dispatch employees while reinforcing performance and safety standards.
- Support improvement initiatives that strengthen visibility across the supply chain and increase distribution efficiency.
- Assist in managing logistics providers so service, operational, and cost expectations are met.
Continuous improvement focus
- Spot issues in WMS and HELIX-related processes and suggest practical improvements.
- Help refine logistics systems and operating procedures on an ongoing basis.
Experience and abilities
The role calls for hands-on experience in logistics or supply chain operations, along with the ability to manage people and coordinate multiple priorities. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder handling skills are essential, as is an analytical and risk-aware approach to problem solving. The position also requires comfort working from detailed instructions, contributing in a team environment with limited supervision, and taking responsibility for work quality.
