Collaboration with internal departments is essential to align warehouse workflows with business and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guarantee all documentation complies with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and is complete, precise, and audit-ready.
  • Maintain audit preparedness for regulatory and customer inspections, serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for warehouse audits.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure timely and accurate availability of production kits across all shifts.
  • Manage inventory control including cycle counts, consumption reporting, analysis, and managing obsolete stock.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve warehouse operations.
  • Identify and address resource and training needs, implementing effective corrective plans.
  • Implement customer-driven changes in warehouse processes on schedule and in full.
  • Work closely with external logistics providers to ensure delivery timelines, quality, and GMP compliance are met.
  • Establish and uphold procedures for storing and handling temperature-sensitive and hazardous materials.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to warehouse activities and apply mitigation measures to avoid safety issues and non-compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize warehouse layout and storage for enhanced efficiency, safety, and regulation adherence.
  • Investigate warehouse deviations or non-conformances, manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ensure effective resolution.
  • Lead warehouse projects from planning to completion, including resource allocation, prioritization, and status reporting.
  • Act as the ERP system (JDE) SME, supporting logistics and materials management and driving system improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team to promote best practices in warehouse operations within PCI Ireland.
  • Ensure goods receipt, dispatch, picking, and returns are handled accurately and promptly as per SOPs.
  • Oversee waste disposal, recycling, and sustainability initiatives aligned with environmental and company policies.
  • Maintain exemplary housekeeping standards in the warehouse, fostering safety and compliance culture.
  • Promote clear communication within the warehouse team and cross-functional departments for smooth operations.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for warehouse staff to maintain and enhance skills.
  • Be prepared to work beyond normal hours as needed to support operational requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certificate in logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in warehouse operations within GMP-regulated or similar environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and effective team management capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations as well as GMP compliance standards.
  • Experience with inventory control, data analysis, and reporting methodologies.
  • Proficiency using ERP systems such as JDE and warehouse management software.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude and proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership qualities.
