Role Summary

In this position, you will oversee the daily functioning of the hotel’s wine service areas and support the business, guests, and colleagues through effective service delivery. The role calls for strong leadership in wine sales, cost control, guest experience, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the property’s wine service areas.
• Lead the execution of policies and procedures connected to wine sales.
• Identify and develop fresh opportunities to increase wine-related revenue.
• Suggest practical ways to manage costs and reduce unnecessary spending.
• Ensure operations stay within approved budgets.
• Design and recommend merchandising and promotional initiatives that drive wine sales.
• Train and develop team members across the department.
• Work to deliver high guest satisfaction, ratings, and service standards for wine service.
• Offer personalized wine recommendations and provide service to VIP guests.
• Address guest questions, requests, and concerns professionally.
• Take full ownership of the wine displays across the property.

Qualifications

• A college diploma in Hotel Management, Bar Management, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
• Prior experience working as a Wine Sommelier or similar wine specialist is required.
• Experience managing a team of bartenders is important for this role.
• A strong team-oriented mindset is essential.
• Deep knowledge of wines and other beverages is needed.
• Excellent guest service and hospitality skills are required.
