Role overview

This is a full-time Winemaker opportunity based at the Yenda Winery. The business is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional with substantial experience in a large-scale winery environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out vinification and prepare wines to a high standard.
• Contribute effectively as part of the winemaking team.
• Create and refine wine styles that align with customer expectations.
• Represent the winery in public relations and wine tasting activities.
• Undertake trial work aimed at improving quality and reducing costs.
• Oversee cellar safety and make sure all operations meet required safety standards.

Candidate profile

• Holds a tertiary qualification, or an equivalent qualification, in Winemaking or Oenology.
• Brings proven experience working in a large winery.
• Works well in a team and demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal ability.
• Can work autonomously and manage workload and priorities independently.
• Has strong supervision, planning and organising skills, including experience using computer systems.
• Communicates clearly and presents themselves professionally.
• Understands how to operate a large winery profitably.
