About the Role
Join Enova's Fraud Analytics team as an Analyst, where your analytical mindset and creativity help outsmart fraudsters. You'll play a pivotal role by developing and enhancing models and pattern-recognition systems that detect emerging fraud schemes across our lending products. Collaborate closely with the Fraud Operations team to refine your approaches based on their investigation feedback, identifying and reducing false positives and negatives in a continuous loop.
Operating within Enova's broader Analytics department, one of 100 quantitative experts, you'll leverage cutting-edge methodologies to facilitate fast, reliable credit access while managing risks in a data-driven company culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and oversee predictive models and algorithms to track evolving fraud patterns within lending products.
- Develop custom Python programs for insightful data analysis and predictive modeling; proficiently query extensive complex datasets using SQL.
- Work hand-in-hand with Fraud Operations, analyzing data, detecting suspicious activities, and integrating their findings to continuously improve fraud detection accuracy.
- Perform exploratory analyses on large datasets to identify new fraud trends and advise on risk mitigation, verification, and operational tactics.
- Present insights clearly across teams, define requirements, and contribute to the deployment of fraud prevention strategies.
- Enhance underwriting and verification procedures through fraud risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated programming skills in data analytics through projects, internships, coursework, or professional work.
- Familiarity with relational database management systems and SQL querying.
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis techniques and machine learning concepts.
- Ability to use AI tools for workflow enhancement and improved output.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities coupled with a curious and investigative nature.
- While prior fraud, fintech, or lending experience is not mandatory, enthusiasm and interest in these domains is essential.
Compensation & Career Path
The role offers multiple levels within the career ladder, with annual salaries determined by qualifications and experience. Estimated salary bands are $63,000 to $83,000 for Analytics Analyst I and $75,000 to $95,000 for Analytics Analyst II. Additional compensation may include bonuses. All full-time staff are eligible for comprehensive benefits.
