Position Overview

The Area Manager will oversee operations across 8 stores located in Auckland and the wider North Island. This leadership role requires ownership of business outcomes, managing KPIs, and supporting Store Leaders to cultivate exceptional customer experiences and visually compelling stores. The successful candidate will balance administrative planning with hands-on store visits, collaborating with the Community Manager to create engaging events that boost sales and ensuring key business fundamentals such as shrinkage, labor costs, and team engagement are maintained at a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple retail locations, ensuring that sales goals and operational standards are met or exceeded.
• Support and guide Store Leaders in delivering excellent customer service and merchandising excellence.
• Utilize data and metrics to make informed decisions and optimize store performance.
• Manage time effectively between on-site visits and administrative planning to drive results.
• Work closely with the Community Manager to organize events that align with brand goals and drive revenue.
• Maintain control over financial factors such as shrink and wage percentages.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven multi-site retail leadership experience with responsibility for more than one store.
• Strong background in sales management and commercial business acumen.
• Demonstrated success in leading, motivating, and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent planning, time management skills, and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the portfolio.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work outside regular hours, including some weekends to support events.
