Position Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Shift Manager specializing in Front Services, overseeing Bell and Valet operations within our hotel's front service team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee bellmen, doormen, and valet personnel throughout assigned shifts.
- Ensure prompt, courteous handling of guests' luggage, transportation, and valet service needs.
- Coordinate guest arrivals and departures in collaboration with front desk and concierge teams.
- Provide active support during peak hours and VIP arrivals or departures.
- Conduct training and coaching for team members on service excellence, safety standards, and guest interaction protocols.
- Hold shift briefings to prepare the team for the service period.
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of entrance and bell desk areas.
- Manage guest queries and service recovery professionally and discreetly.
- Adhere to Forbes Five Star service quality standards consistently.
- Assist in managing inventory such as luggage tags, trolleys, and guest amenities.
- Report any operational challenges or guest feedback promptly to the Front Services Manager.
Candidate Profile
- At least 2 to 3 years experience in bell services or guest arrival operations, preferably with supervisory roles.
- Excellent leadership abilities and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-resolution skills.
- Familiarity with property management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
- Professional demeanor with a service-oriented mindset.
- Availability to work shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Capable of standing for long durations and physically handling luggage and related items.
- Previous training and experience meeting Forbes Travel Guide service standards are mandatory.
