Biologist (Remote, Contract)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Biology Expert on a contract basis to engage in remote work. The role offers compensation between $80 and $90 per hour with a commitment ranging from 10 to 40 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and provide comprehensive critiques on biology-related materials, data, and prompts utilized within AI development processes.
• Develop, assess, and enhance scientific scenarios, questions, and explanations that capture complex real-world biological issues.
• Provide expert guidance to ensure the accuracy, relevancy, and depth of AI training datasets and outputs focused on the biological field.
• Work collaboratively with platform teams to resolve uncertainties and strengthen data quality, coverage, and representativeness concerning biological content.
• Maintain detailed documentation of methodologies, findings, and reasoning to promote transparency and enable reproducibility in project outcomes.
• Engage actively in iterative review cycles and continuous evaluation aimed at improving the AI system's biological capabilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• PhD degree in biology or a closely related life science discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in fundamental biological principles with the skill to contextualize advanced topics for a broad audience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, facilitating clear explanation of feedback and scientific arguments.
• Experience in analyzing scientific data, critically assessing research output, and synthesizing complex biological information.
• Capability to work independently and deliver consistently high-quality results within project parameters.
