Position Overview

We are currently looking for a committed and knowledgeable Cleaning Supervisor to oversee our cleaning team and uphold superior cleanliness and hygiene standards at our Newmarket Auckland facilities. This full-time role is tailored for proactive individuals who thrive in dynamic settings, possess keen attention to detail, and take pride in maintaining inviting and sanitized spaces.

Schedule and Compensation

• Workdays: Tuesday-Wednesday from 15:30 to 23:00; Saturday-Sunday from 14:30 to 23:00
• Hourly pay rate: $27.75

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and assist a small cleaning team effectively
• Develop task schedules to meet deadlines and service level agreements
• Prioritize responsibilities efficiently under pressure
• Delegate assignments, perform spot checks, and ensure task completion
• Guide and mentor team members for optimal performance
• Supervise and engage in daily cleaning activities at the store location
• Achieve client site rotations and key performance indicators
• Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and company policies
• Maintain and inspect cleaning tools and equipment
• Address client inquiries and feedback promptly
• Manage team rosters and provide shift coverage as required
• Recruit, onboard, and train new team members
• Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies, accidents, or hazards

Qualifications and Experience

• Significant experience in cleaning is essential
• Possession of a valid New Zealand Driver's License
• Prior experience in team supervision and management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proven client relationship management skills
• Capability to train and mentor cleaning staff effectively
• Familiarity with cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and protocols
• Ability to operate independently while maintaining confidentiality
• Basic proficiency in computer and mobile phone applications
• Knowledge of TBT safety training, roster management, and inventory ordering

Additional Requirements

Candidates must hold valid work authorization for New Zealand.
