About the Role
We seek a Data Analysis Manager to join an economic consulting team in Washington, D.C., focusing on data-driven research and providing client-centered analysis. This role suits an early-career professional with strong quantitative abilities who enjoys handling large public datasets and translating insights into clear, actionable information. You will collaborate with economists and consulting staff to contribute to reports, presentations, and policy research.
Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare datasets from publicly available databases to support consulting projects through detailed quantitative analysis.
- Develop accurate and timely client materials, ensuring project updates and deliverables are clear and effective.
- Analyze and interpret data trends and economic insights to assist clients in making informed decisions on policy and market developments.
- Create written content, including research summaries, reports, thought leadership, and other analytical documents.
- Present project findings and updates to clients via calls, virtual meetings, and when applicable, in-person discussions.
- Collaborate with senior economists and team members on research activities, data requests, and project coordination.
- Design charts, tables, and presentation materials using Excel and PowerPoint to clearly communicate complex data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include economics, finance, data analytics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum one year of experience in data analysis, working with quantitative datasets or similar analytical roles.
- Proven ability to contribute to client-facing projects and meet deadlines with high-quality work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining findings clearly to diverse audiences.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience or background in economics, consulting, or closely related analytical environments is highly desirable.
- Strong competence in organizing, cleansing, and validating data from various sources with meticulous attention to accuracy.
