Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Data Developer to design, develop, and sustain robust, scalable data infrastructures. This role requires strong expertise in Python and familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5. The successful candidate will thrive in ambiguity, think strategically without neglecting details, and excel in a fast-moving work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain data pipelines capable of handling growing data volume and complexity, including developing new API integrations.
• Collaborate with business teams and analysts to comprehend complex business logic and implement it to derive insights.
• Establish processes and tools to assure data quality, ensuring data accuracy and availability for stakeholders and business operations.
• Conduct data analysis to identify and resolve data-related issues efficiently.
• Provide technical guidance and work with the team to scale the data architecture to meet future requirements.
• Develop and maintain continuous integration and deployment workflows using Jenkins, Docker, Git, and related tools.
• Create and enforce monitoring and alerting protocols for all data systems.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of practical experience in Python programming.
• At least three years of experience crafting advanced and efficient SQL queries.
• Over two years of experience working within an AWS cloud environment.
• Familiarity with Git version control and Docker containerization technologies.
• Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deeply understand various business domains.
• Solid grasp of software development life cycle practices, including agile methods, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operational support.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with third-party API integrations is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary for this position in Ontario is estimated to be between 85000 and 115000 CAD annually, adjusted based on the candidate's location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Compensation may also include bonuses, equity awards, and eligibility for participation in company retirement and stock purchase plans.
