Role Overview

The Data Science Program Owner will strategically and practically lead the identification, prioritization, and delivery of data science, analytics, automation, and AI initiatives that generate measurable business value. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, this role oversees the entire lifecycle of data products — from conceptualization and business case development to design, deployment, adoption, and realization of benefits. This role demands strong product ownership, stakeholder liaison, and translating complex business problems into scalable, data-enabled solutions to improve decision-making and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize data science, automation, analytics, and AI opportunities aligned with business goals.
• Manage the end-to-end development and implementation of data and AI products, including business case and roadmap creation.
• Convert complex business challenges into scalable, production-grade data solutions enhancing operations and decisions.
• Define product vision, requirements, success criteria, and priorities based on impact, feasibility, and strategy.
• Create prototypes, proofs of concept, and minimum viable products; actively participate in design, testing, and deployment phases.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders and technical teams to expedite delivery and achieve outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership through coding, analytics, automation workflows, AI model development, and architectural discussions.
• Engage stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and HR; communicate insights effectively.
• Establish and advocate for Data & AI governance practices ensuring data quality, security, privacy, and ethical AI use.
• Promote user adoption, manage change, and foster continuous improvement by evaluating impact and incorporating feedback.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
• At least 5 years’ experience in data science, product ownership, analytics, data engineering, consulting, or digital transformation roles.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional projects involving technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in analytics, machine learning, automation, and AI technologies.
• Hands-on experience with modern analytics platforms and relevant programming languages like Python and SQL.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Able to excel in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative or related discipline.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power Platform, or Databricks.
• Knowledge of AI and Generative AI solution deployment.
• Certifications in Agile, Scrum, Product Ownership, or Project Management.
• Experience working in global matrix organizations.

Additional Information

Salary range: €65,000 to €75,000 plus bonus and benefits. The role requires primarily onsite presence for at least 4 days per week to facilitate collaboration and innovation, although some flexibility is recognized.
