Role Overview

SlicitOfficial is a leading innovator integrating Web 3.0 technologies within asset management and fintech industries. We are looking for a Data Scientist with a pioneering mindset to extract actionable insights from extensive datasets centered around blockchain, tokenization, NFTs, and associated Web 3.0 concepts.

This role is critical in fueling innovation by delivering data-driven strategies that enhance asset management approaches, fintech advancements, and digital transformation of real-world assets.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with deep business understanding and industry expertise in asset management, fintech, and digital assets.

Reporting and Employment

Reports to the Chief Technology Officer.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, UAE.

Key Responsibilities and Core Skills

• Design, implement, and validate a broad spectrum of machine learning models including Linear Regression, Decision Trees, Clustering, Neural Networks, NLP, and Reinforcement Learning with applications in finance.
• Leverage Python libraries like Scikit-learn for ML, TensorFlow or PyTorch for deep learning, and NLP frameworks such as NLTK or spaCy to analyze textual market data.
• Develop advanced trading algorithms using reinforcement learning frameworks like OpenAI Gym.
• Use AI-driven analytics to forecast market trends, optimize portfolios, and enhance fintech customer engagement.
• Perform programming and data manipulation using Python (Pandas, NumPy), R (dplyr, tidyr), and SQL to handle large and complex datasets.
• Maintain code versioning and collaboration practices with Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
• Apply advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques to inform strategic business decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields, preferably with focus on finance, blockchain, or digital assets.
• Bonus skills include programming proficiency in Scala or Java, experience with big data frameworks and cloud computing, deep learning expertise, and data visualization capabilities using Tableau or Power BI.

Blockchain and Web 3.0 Expertise

• In-depth understanding of blockchain principles such as decentralized ledgers, consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, and cryptography.
• Experience with platforms like Ethereum, Hedera Hashgraph, and Polygon; knowledge of smart contract development especially with Solidity is advantageous.
• Practical experience applying blockchain tech in financial contexts, including asset tokenization and NFT implementations.
• Relevant industry certifications in blockchain technology, data science, or finance demonstrating commitment to continuous learning.
