Position Overview
The role of Engineer Trainee is based at the Nighoje plant (Plant No. 06) in Pune. This position is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience, primarily focusing on quality and inspection activities within manufacturing processes.
Core Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials by comparing them with verified blueprints and standard material specifications to ensure compliance.
- Perform routine floor audits during active assembly, machining, or packaging stages to identify any structural or visual defects promptly.
- Use precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify component dimensions and confirm conformity.
- Assist senior engineers in conducting both destructive and non-destructive tests, including tensile, hardness, and surface roughness assessments on materials.
- Maintain accurate and detailed quality logs, batch records, and defect charts daily to ensure traceability.
- Identify and isolate defective materials immediately, issuing formal defect notifications to production supervisors to prevent further use.
- Monitor calibration schedules of plant equipment to ensure all measuring instruments remain accurate and reliable.
- Support investigations into production line failures by assisting with root cause analysis and tracking Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering to qualify for this opportunity.
