Excel Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking an Excel Specialist for a contract position working remotely. The role involves designing and simulating complex, realistic business scenarios that demand advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, reflecting tasks drawn from significant professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and simulate challenging business scenarios using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, based on previous work experience.
• Engage in multi-turn dialogues with a large language model (LLM), presenting complex document-related prompts and evaluating AI-generated outputs.
• Create and meticulously review Office documents (.xlsx, .docx, .pptx), comparing two AI-generated solutions against professional standards and determining the preferred results.
• Provide detailed feedback and side-by-side comparisons to enhance AI model performance, emphasizing quality, precision, and business relevance.
• Offer domain expertise across multiple industries and business functions to ensure coverage of diverse, real-world use cases.
• Communicate clearly in both writing and speech to guarantee accurate comprehension and actionable input for the AI training team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over three years of professional experience working in Fortune 500 companies, utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on impactful projects.
• Proven expertise in constructing complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations within sectors such as finance, healthcare, technology, consulting, or retail.
• Background in business roles including private equity associate, investment banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR, or marketing strategist, with direct involvement in deals or projects.
• Ability to design use cases representing departments such as strategy, operations, sales, marketing, finance, or human resources.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail and clarity when delivering feedback.
• Experience with large language models or developing extensive prompts for AI tools is highly advantageous.
• Analytical aptitude to assess subtle distinctions in document quality and business applicability.
