Company Overview
Oso Semiconductor is a rapidly expanding early-stage fabless semiconductor company specializing in designing advanced microchips for wireless communications and sensing. Founded by UC Berkeley PhDs, their innovative microchip architecture leads to 2-4 times power savings for phased array systems used across satellite communication (SATCOM), 5G, and radar. Having secured Series A funding, shipped their initial chipsets, and acquired both defense and commercial clients, they are now planning to triple their team size.
Role Summary
The Executive Assistant will serve as a crucial operational support to the CEO and the broader company, ensuring smooth daily functions and enabling leadership to focus on strategic growth. This high-trust role involves managing confidential information and collaborating across HR, finance, legal, and general operations in a dynamic startup setting. The position demands anticipatory organization skills and adaptability to shifting needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle varied administrative duties such as managing the CEO’s calendar and correspondence, arranging meetings and travel, and coordinating events.
- Provide operational support to enhance company efficiency and responsiveness, including identifying operational gaps and maintaining office resources.
- Assist HR efforts involving recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and fostering a welcoming workplace culture.
- Carry out financial tasks including expense reporting, invoice and payroll processing, and purchase order management.
- Support legal and compliance functions by managing contracts and tracking NDAs and intellectual property filings.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, facilitating scheduling and handling special requests.
Required Qualifications
- Over five years of experience in executive assistance, office management, or operations support, preferably backing founders or C-suite executives.
- Exceptional organizational prowess with experience handling complex calendars and competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of discretion in managing sensitive and confidential information.
- Comfortable working within evolving, ambiguous startup environments.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and capability to quickly adopt new software tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background working in startups, deep-tech, or semiconductor sectors.
- Familiarity with HR, recruiting, finance operations, or bookkeeping tasks.
- Experience with platforms like Gusto, Brex, QuickBooks, Carta, DocuSign, HubSpot, or Breezy.
- Event planning skills.
