Position Summary
The Executive Function Mentor role is part of Crimson's new Focus program, which aims to cultivate executive function and leadership capabilities vital for students' academic and personal achievements. The mentor will support high-achieving students (Grades 8–10) by assisting them in executing tasks, maintaining schedules, and attaining milestone goals set by Senior Executive Function Coaches. The position is flexible and contract/hourly based.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver regular one-on-one mentorship, possibly daily, to help students complete assigned tasks and milestones.
- Act as an accountability partner by monitoring progress, managing workloads, and motivating students.
- Support students in reviewing schedules, managing deadlines, and adhering to academic and extracurricular commitments.
- Provide practical and encouraging support to students requiring structure and consistent guidance.
- Work collaboratively with Senior Executive Function Coaches to align on student progress and adjust support accordingly.
- Adapt mentoring strategies to fit individual student needs using available tools and methodologies.
- Help students build habits that encourage independence, focus, and sustained follow-through.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience working effectively with youth or students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in academic support, mentoring, or coaching roles.
- Knowledge of executive function coaching, leadership training, or skills development.
- Understanding of student assessment and progress tracking frameworks (e.g., SEL, Human Skills Matrix).
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in student motivation and accountability.
- Experience with international and ESOL learners.
- Familiarity with college admissions planning in US or UK contexts.

Additional Information
This role provides a critical mentorship function within an innovative EdTech startup environment. The application and onboarding process generally spans approximately two weeks.
