About Qualcomm and the GBFS Team
Qualcomm India Private Limited operates within the Finance & Accounting Group, specifically supporting headquarters and global regional teams through its Global Business and Finance Support (GBFS) team. The GBFS team primarily handles finance and business operation activities including FP&A, Opex, reporting, and financial system maintenance.
Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and driven Finance Analyst to strengthen our finance team. This role involves the preparation and timely delivery of financial reports and packages, updating financial systems, assisting with financial planning and budgeting, and conducting research and analysis as requested. Candidates should be prepared for occasional late-evening discussions related to reviews and activity transitions with supporting regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver precise and prompt financial packages and reporting, both transactional and analytical.
- Support the budgeting cycle and monthly financial closing processes.
- Develop an understanding of primary business factors driving financial outcomes.
- Provide financial guidance and support to global teams.
- Conduct research and analytical work as required by stakeholders.
- Ensure financial systems are updated with current data.
- Collaborate regularly with global regional teams through calls and documentation, handling reviews and transition processes.
- Lead initiatives to automate finance processes using AI and other automation tools for enhanced efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with company financial guidelines, policies, and applicable laws.
Candidate Requirements
- Master’s degree in Finance from a reputed institution (MBA or M. Com) or a professional qualification such as CA or CMA.
- At least 4 years of experience in Finance, particularly in FP&A.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial systems like SAP or Oracle.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and able to perform effectively under pressure.
- Capable of explaining financial information to audiences without a financial background.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to review processes and provide team support.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and enhance skills in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and AI technologies.
- Availability for late-evening calls for reviews and team transitions on a regular basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- At least one year of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- An advanced degree in a related discipline may be considered equivalent to one year of experience.
