Role Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute diverse cleaning and maintenance tasks including sweeping, mopping, carpet shampooing, dusting, polishing, disposing of trash, replacing light bulbs, and window cleaning.
• Communicate supply needs promptly to the Supervisor.
• Handle cleaning chemicals responsibly, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
• Dispose of waste effectively and assist with urgent cleaning tasks when required.
• Learn and safely operate new equipment before use.
• Maintain professionalism and a courteous demeanor at all times.
• Keep sanitary and cleaning supply levels adequate in assigned areas.
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned spaces, reporting any issues to the Supervisor.
• Follow security protocols diligently during all duties.
• Adhere strictly to safety measures throughout all work tasks.
• Build cooperative working relationships with building personnel.
• Offer floor care services including furnishing and burnishing as needed.
• Complete daily work orders according to schedule.
• Maintain all assigned equipment to ensure optimal working condition.
• Perform restroom cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, refilling dispensers, cleaning fixtures, and trash removal.
• Report discrepancies or maintenance needs promptly to supervisory staff.
• Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment in recreational areas like game rooms and pool decks.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in custodial or cleaning roles is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal effectiveness.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to crawl in restricted areas.
• Comfort working under varying weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
• Frequent walking and stair climbing.
• Manual dexterity including handling, grasping, and feeling objects and equipment.
• Reach and mobility with hands and arms as needed to navigate the workplace.
• Quick and safe navigation of properties and buildings to fulfill duties.
• Repetitive hand and wrist motions for task completion.
• Preparedness to respond swiftly to emergencies.
• Competence in ladder use and working at heights up to 3 feet.
• Adhering to all required documentation and forms accurately.

Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly wage ranging between $16 to $18.
• Full-time schedule involving 35 to 40 hours per week.
• Availability required during evenings and weekends.
