Role Summary

We are growing and seeking an enthusiastic Junior Front-End Developer to join our remote-first team. The selected candidate will assist in creating, developing, and maintaining responsive and engaging web applications and user interfaces. Collaborating with experienced developers, designers, and product teams, you will cultivate your skills and contribute to delivering quality digital experiences.

Core Responsibilities

• Craft responsive and mobile-friendly websites using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Help develop reusable UI components and interactive front-end features.
• Translate UI/UX designs into clean, functional, and adaptable web applications.
• Optimize web pages for speed, performance, and accessibility.
• Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility through thorough testing.
• Debug front-end issues and address performance challenges.
• Maintain and upgrade existing web applications and implement enhancements.
• Engage in Agile team activities like sprint planning and reviews.
• Contribute to code reviews and communicate development progress effectively.
• Write clear, documented code adhering to best practices and standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and bug fixing procedures.
• Continuously update skills through mentorship and training.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years experience in front-end or web development, inclusive of internships, freelance work, or academic projects.
• Fundamental grasp of responsive design principles.
• Working knowledge of Git and version control systems.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
• Basic exposure to React.js, Vue.js, or Angular frameworks.
• Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON data formats.
• Competency with browser developer tools and debugging strategies.
• Knowledge of web accessibility and cross-browser compatibility considerations.
• Preferred skills include TypeScript, state management libraries (Redux, Context API, Pinia), design tools like Figma, and build tools such as Webpack, Vite, npm, or Yarn.
• Experience or exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting with strong organizational skills and adaptability.
