About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Information Security Implementer to lead the development and execution of a National Information Assurance (NIA) standard-compliant security program for a major client based in Doha, Qatar. This key position will have direct influence on the organization’s cybersecurity measures and compliance with Qatar’s strict regulatory policies, protecting critical digital assets and enhancing trust in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive deployment of information security initiatives aligned with NIA standards.
- Transform regulatory demands into practical security measures and workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and improve current security postures.
- Create, document, and implement security frameworks that conform with ISO/IEC 27001 protocols.
- Ensure all project outputs satisfy governmental and corporate cybersecurity criteria in Qatar.
- Offer direct leadership and mentorship to client teams during the entire engagement period.
- Possibility of working on location in Doha to guarantee effective execution and coordination.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possess current professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer.
- Demonstrated practical experience implementing NIA-compliant security programs within Qatar.
- In-depth knowledge of Qatar’s cybersecurity regulatory framework for both government and enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex security projects successfully under challenging conditions.
- A proactive and ownership-driven approach with a strong focus on impactful outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Technical Expertise
- Advanced skills in ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and auditing processes.
- Thorough understanding of NIA frameworks and cybersecurity standards.
- Strong grasp of risk assessment, gap identification, and corrective action planning.
- Capable of bridging technical cybersecurity requirements with business objectives.
Language Skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
Additional Details
- Assignment duration: 2.5 months (freelance).
- Location: Doha, Qatar with on-site presence required.
- Immediate availability is highly preferred.
