Overview
Vizzy Labs is an innovative AI-driven interactive entertainment startup headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our mission is to transform traditional short dramas and story content from passive viewing experiences into engaging interactive games. Our team boasts members from prestigious organizations like Stanford, Google, and TikTok, and we have secured nearly $10 million in funding. Currently, our product is in beta: leveraging AI, we convert popular short dramas into playable, branching interactive experiences in under an hour. Our platform revolutionizes interactive storytelling across three main fronts: cinematic-quality live-action video-based stories where every player choice alters the narrative; AI-powered content creation pipelines that automate 90% of script structuring and branching designs, leaving creators free to focus on story quality; and a TikTok-esque distribution model fostering a 'Roblox for interactive content', enabling storytellers of all backgrounds to publish their narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in story planning and scripting for AI-driven interactive short dramas, crafting elements like worldbuilding, character development, dialogues, and complex branching narratives.
- Design interactive narrative structures by developing branching storylines, choice architectures, player decision points, and multiple potential endings, ensuring a balance between compelling storytelling and engaging user experience.
- Utilize advanced AI tools including large language models, AI image and video generation, and voice technologies to create and iterate on content while innovatively exploring new AI-assisted storytelling techniques.
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams encompassing product management, engineering, and art to transition concepts from ideation to release, and iteratively improve story content based on user data and feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated aptitude in game writing with a deep understanding of narrative tempo, emotional progression, and player immersion; prior experience with interactive fiction, game writing, or script-driven murder mystery games is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in interaction design, capable of independently crafting branching story trees and analyzing how different choices impact story direction and player engagement.
- Experience proficiently operating a broad set of AI creative tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Runway, and CapCut AI, with bonus points for prompt engineering expertise.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to exchange ideas openly, accept constructive feedback, and collaborate effectively within multifunctional teams.
- Availability to commit at least five days per week for a minimum period of three months.
Preferred Attributes
- Background or significant interest in developing or interacting with interactive short dramas, otome, or adventure/visual novel games.
- A professional portfolio showcasing scripts, interactive narrative prototypes, or AI-assisted creative projects.
- Insights and personal viewpoints on the AI-generated content (AIGC) ecosystem and trends in short drama media.
