Role Overview
We are seeking an Operating Partner to lead the Founder Services and Platform teams. This role blends leadership, coordination, and hands-on involvement, with responsibilities on par with senior executives such as the CFO. The Operating Partner will manage a high-performing team, ensuring timely and quality support reaches founders to propel their growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations for the Founder Services and Platform teams, including directing people, setting priorities, and upholding standards.
- Coordinate resources across talent acquisition, go-to-market strategies, marketing, events, content, and customer introductions to benefit founders effectively.
- Engage with founders at all stages—from pre-seed to Series B—to provide tailored support in recruiting, sales strategies, customer engagement, company narrative, and media coverage.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop repeatable, high-quality programs for founder support.
- Set high benchmarks for adding real value in venture capital beyond ceremonial gestures.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced operator with proven success in startups, particularly serving as a CEO or COO within enterprise software.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale companies, discerning genuine traction from superficial activity.
- Expertise in developing go-to-market and recruitment frameworks and coaching founders credibly in these domains.
- Passionate about founder success with the credibility to challenge and support them effectively.
- Strong leadership skills to drive execution and elevate team performance.
- High standards combined with empathy, adept at navigating complex challenges with calm and structured thinking.
- Commitment to truth, clarity, and sustainable company development.
- Values-driven mindset, emphasizing integrity, substance, and ethical conduct.
Location and Compensation
This full-time role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with flexibility to work from the Menlo Park or San Francisco office. Candidates should reside within reasonable proximity to these locations and to the founders supported. Compensation is competitive, reflecting the seniority of the position, and includes meaningful equity upside linked to the firm’s success.
Why Join
This opportunity is uniquely positioned to redefine venture capital support for founders over the next decade. It offers a meaningful leadership role for those who have previously built companies and now desire to empower others in their growth journeys.
