Role Overview
The Product Manager will oversee products and services within SITA's Communications & Data Exchange Business Unit, specifically targeting the global Air Transport Industry. Reporting to the Product Portfolio Manager, the incumbent will collaborate with Solution Engineers and fellow Product Managers to introduce cutting-edge solutions to customers. The key responsibilities include meeting financial and customer satisfaction targets, shaping strategic product direction to drive revenue and profit growth, and overseeing product performance throughout its entire lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret global market trends and customer requirements.
- Lead discovery efforts to identify customer challenges and opportunities concerning LAN/WLAN, Cybersecurity, and AIOps Observability using AI-enhanced tools.
- Define and communicate clear product vision, strategy, and measurable goals aligned with business priorities.
- Convert customer needs and requirements into prioritized product roadmaps.
- Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation for internal and external use.
- Collaborate closely with Product Creation Project Managers and technical teams to ensure agile delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing products.
- Develop business cases and value propositions leveraging large operational datasets to reveal actionable, differentiated customer insights.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Commercial teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging.
- Support sales and bidding teams on government and enterprise tenders, acting as an expert on LAN/WLAN, Cybersecurity, AIOps Observability, and compliance-focused solutions.
- Manage the product lifecycle from initial conception through retirement.
- Engage various internal and external stakeholders globally to gather real-world feedback and drive continuous product enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum five years of B2B product management experience focusing on LAN/WLAN, Cybersecurity, and AIOps Observability (pre-sales experience advantageous).
- At least four years of experience specifically as a Product Manager.
- Desirable background with platform products, observability, automation, AIOps, or operational intelligence technologies.
- Experience in the Telecom or Air Transport Industry technology sectors.
- Strong strategic thinking ability to develop long-term product roadmaps and influence senior stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of networking technologies and current IT trends.
- Proficiency with Product Management Stage-Gate or equivalent development methodologies.
- Proven track record delivering results in global technology solution companies.
- Good financial literacy and business acumen.
- Awareness of current airline and airport industry trends and technologies is beneficial.
- Skilled in leading virtual teams across global environments.
- Effective at communicating clear ideas and securing stakeholder alignment across departments.
