Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the filling, packing, and line setting operations at our Auckland manufacturing facility. Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, you will be instrumental in enhancing production efficiency, leading and developing the team, and meeting operational targets daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and nurture the production team to ensure safe, efficient, and superior quality operational performance.
• Manage production metrics to achieve targets related to output, quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Coordinate production schedules while optimizing workforce, machinery, and resources to maximize capacity.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality standards across all production activities.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing operational efficiency and reducing waste.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Quality departments to troubleshoot production challenges and assist with new product launches.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated production management expertise in FMCG, food, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Strong leadership abilities with a passion for coaching and motivating high-performance teams.
• Experience in GMP or quality-controlled manufacturing settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of production machinery, equipment, and manufacturing workflows.
• A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement using KPIs to boost operational success.
• Hands-on problem-solving attitude coupled with decisive decision-making skills.
