Role Overview

Zaxbys is looking for a Restaurant Utility Worker to help keep the restaurant clean, safe, and in good working order. This role supports daily operations by handling housekeeping, deep-cleaning tasks, and basic upkeep for the building and equipment.

What You'll Do

Complete all training required by Zax LLC.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and well-kept restaurant environment.
Carry out scheduled and unscheduled cleaning tasks, along with routine basic maintenance.
Perform regular cleaning and preventative care on restaurant equipment.
Check equipment, operate it, or test it to identify problems.
Handle minor lighting repairs and related maintenance needs.
Do detailed cleaning work, including deep cleaning and pressure washing inside and outside the location.
Read and understand equipment manuals, work orders, safety instructions, and operating procedures.
Inspect grounds, plumbing, electrical fixtures and outlets, kitchen equipment, and the building on a regular basis to catch issues early.
Complete minor repairs when needed.
Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date maintenance records.
Follow all Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Work in a safe manner at all times and follow every safety rule and procedure.
Show flexibility and support duties beyond the listed responsibilities when needed.
Report human resources and risk management concerns right away to the General Manager and District Manager.
Bring other issues to a supervisor when appropriate.
Take on any additional tasks needed to keep restaurant operations running smoothly.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Reliable transportation is required.
Ability to work 32 to 40 hours per week for full-time availability.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong leadership potential, organization, and a cooperative approach to working with others are needed.

Physical Requirements

Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to stoop, bend, crouch, and climb occasionally, including using ladders.
Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
Use hands and wrists continuously for grasping and detailed hand movements.
Communicate clearly through speaking, reading, and writing.
Have the visual and audio awareness needed to notice and respond to the work environment.
Be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in hot and cold conditions, with exposure to food and outdoor allergens.
Work safely around restaurant equipment, including knives, fryers, and other potentially hazardous tools.
