Working in partnership with Traditional Owners, local communities, and stakeholders, the Authority ensures the conservation of environmental, cultural, and heritage values while promoting sustainable visitation.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and customer-orientated Retail Supervisor to join the team at the iconic Twelve Apostles Visitor Experience Centre. Reporting directly to the Retail Manager, you will lead and manage daily retail store operations, guide and inspire a skilled team, and create outstanding visitor experiences. Your role will be vital in driving sales performance, upholding operational excellence, and fostering a friendly and engaging atmosphere for visitors from across Australia and worldwide. Additionally, there may be opportunities to support other visitor sites managed by the Authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and motivation to a retail team focused on exceptional customer service.
• Coach and train team members to meet retail standards and performance objectives.
• Manage staff scheduling, onboarding, and development processes.
• Drive sales results and contribute towards meeting store KPIs and revenue goals.
• Supervise daily retail tasks such as inventory management, stock control, and visual merchandising.
• Maintain high standards of store presentation to create an appealing retail environment.
• Handle store opening and closing duties, including cash handling, financial reporting, and administration.
• Address and resolve customer queries and complaints effectively and professionally.
• Generate performance reports and identify areas for operational improvement.
• Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and organizational policies.
• Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace culture.

Candidate Profile

• Proven supervisory or duty management experience within retail, tourism, hospitality, or customer service sectors.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and enhancing team performance.
• Strong leadership capabilities to coach, inspire, and grow team members.
• Committed to providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Skilled in managing customer complaints and resolving issues diplomatically.
• Well-organized with expertise in rostering, inventory oversight, and running store operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and retail management systems.
• Energetic, positive, and team-oriented attitude towards work.
• Qualifications in Business, Hospitality, or Tourism are highly valued.

Mandatory Requirements

• Ability to obtain or currently hold a National Police Check.
• Working with Children Check certification.
• Proof of legal right to work in Australia.
• Valid Australian Driver Licence.
